The draw for the Olympic pools were made at the Gstaad Major on Saturday evening.
The iconic Gstaad Major tournament elevated itself in higher into beach volleyball folklore on Saturday evening as the pools were drawn for this summer’s Olympic Games.
Many of the athletes who are heading to Rio were present at the glamorous draw which took place inside the VIP area in Gstaad.
Over 100 events took place to decide the final qualifiers – who came from nations far and wide. 169 countries were represented in qualifying – 23 more than for the 2012 Games.
